What are free missing children's flyers for?

Photo identification is often the main reason missing children are found alive and well.

Free flyers of missing children should be distributed in our local communities whenever a child goes missing. Contact the Polly Klass Foundation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and they will guide you through the process of helping law enforcement and child recovery agencies to locate and recover missing children. The key is to saturate your local community with pictures and flyers of missing children, so that someone somewhere will recognize the face of a missing child and report it to local law enforcement immediately.

We and the friends of Albums for the Missing have been helping to distribute photos of missing children since 2001.

You too can help in the following ways:

* By printing, compiling and mailing out images of missing children to schools, hospitals and local businesses all over the nation to spread awareness about missing children. A few flyers at a time that are printed from your home printer are also helpful.

* By encouraging people to print and put up flyers in their local community, in their local post offices, grocery stores, bus stops, gas stations or department stores as well as the bulletin boards inside stores in order to allow people to

glance at the images of the missing.

* By creating special prayer albums containing photos of missing children for churches around the nation so that people can offer silent prayer for the missing as well as flip through the album and see if they recognize a child.

If you'd like to help, please get in touch with us and let us know if your local church (its size or denomination do not matter), synagogue or temple will agree to place a few flyers of missing children in a quiet corner so prayers can be said for the children. They will be sent out for FREE to you to take them to church or your place of worship.

These flyers of missing children can also be placed at your place of work or business so that people can look at them and perhaps recognize a missing child. Whether these flyers are placed in a place of worship or your business/work place, it can make a big difference in a missing child's life.

If you'd like to place the flyers of missing children in your state, please contact The Polly Klass Foundation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or let us know and we'll send you information on how to do so.

Here's what you'll need:

1). A PC and printer to use to print out the flyers

2). A vehicle to drive out and place the flyers with

3). Some local contacts that will let you place flyers of missing children on their premises (gas stations, grocery stores, your local post office or your place of work's bulletin board.) Most people are very kind hearted and will instantly want to help you.
